Dr. Fatma Al-Maadheed, Ministry of Education and Higher Education, Qatar

Dr. Al-Maadheed is an experienced researcher and analyst in social science and humanities. She is a holder of a Ph.D degree from the University of Oxford at the Department of Education with a specialty in Bilingual Education. She has over 20 years of experience in the field of education both academic and in the field working at Qatar University, Qatar Foundation and Education Above All. Dr. Al Maadheed is a consultant in educational policies. She worked with international institutes such as UNESCO- IIEP, IBE, CfBT and UNESCO Qatar as a consultant. She is currently working as an Academic Consultant for the Private Education Sector at the Ministry of Education and Higher Education. Her work covers areas such homeschooling, service learning, PISA Language education, language and identity, higher education and the changing market as well as interactive learning in the digital era. Dr. Fatma has been lately nominated as a board member for one bilingual school that is QF affiliated, and three EAA schools that provide education for under privileged children in Qatar. Last but not least, Dr. Fatma is an aspiring children’s book writer with two stories published and two more in process.
